Don’t miss this amazing opportunity! Mark your calendars for November 20th. Reese Purser will be teaching improvisation workshops at the American Fork Utah COPA Building. These workshops are free and open to the public. Reese received his Associates in Theatre Arts at Ricks College in 1984, a BA in Theatre Studies from BYU in 1997, and an MFA in Acting, Professional Acting Training Program, Alabama Shakespeare Festival / U of A, Tuscaloosa 1999. He currently teaches at BYU in the acting department. He has performed professionally from Tuacahn to the Hale. He can be seen in the following films; The Surface (2015), Dead by Midnight (1997) and Mr. Dungbeetle (2005). Reese is a gifted teacher and COPA students will really enjoy his workshop. Ages 8-12 can join him from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Ages 13-18 can join him from 5:00-6:30 p.m. We hope to see you there!
COPA friends and students! Come join Jennifer Jenkins in an amazing Hip Hop workshop November 20th at the American Fork Utah COPA building. Jennifer is a current instructor in Draper’s Utah COPA. She began dancing at the age of 11. In the dance world, that is considered late. She loved the art so much that she worked extra hard. She trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. She danced on her high school’s drill team & was president her senior year. While receiving her Associates Degree from Salt Lake Community College, she was a member of their dance company. There, she trained in modern. Jennifer has been teaching jazz technique, hip hop, and choreographing hip hop routines for 10+ years. She has had numerous dances place 1st, overall, overall high point, and overall grand champion. She has been recognized & sought out for her hip hop choreography. She has choreographed for multiple studios, high school drill teams, & high school cheer teams. She has a very supportive husband & two daughters. Jennifer is very grateful to be able to do what she loves everyday. She is fulfilled every time she gets the opportunity to teach.
Join us on our royal and swashbuckling adventures as we sing, dance, play, pretend and have magical fun at our Princesses and Pirates free workshop on November 20th at the American Fork COPA Building from 4:30-5:30 p.m. The amazing DeLayne Dayton will be leading the way on the fun filled adventure for COPA friends and students ages 4-7 p.m. Workshop students are welcome to come in costume. There will be additional costumes for those who would like to dress up. DeLayne is a gifted teacher in the COPA faculty. She has a passion for music and theater. She received her BA from BYU in Family Science with a minor in Music. She has taught piano for 10 years and directed the Dayton Singer’s Company performing group since 2008. DeLayne loves being a part of our great community theaters. She has performed at the Hale Center Theater in Orem and the Scera. Her performing credits are: Pirates of Penzance, Oliver, Beauty and the Beast, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Disco Inferno, Funny Girl and Miss Hannigan in Annie.
