Musical Theatre Company

"Our children have been a part of Utah COPA from the beginning. They receive high quality training from excellent, accredited teachers in voice, dance & acting. Their mentoring has resulted in our children winning acting competitions and receiving lead roles. Utah COPA is helping them develop their talents and reach their goals."
- Scharman & Matt Grimmer, Parents

MDT (Music Dance Theatre) companies are designed for students who want to pursue musical theatre either in school, community, regional theatre productions, a career on Broadway, or attend a musical theatre collegiate program. Companies are designed to give students purposeful performance opportunities, build their resumes, network with professionals in the industry, and give the best training possible.

COPA companies have performed in the Movie 12 Dogs of Christmas II directed by Oscar winner Kieth Merrill, for the Governor, Hollywood producers, Young Ambassador Director Randy Boothe, Broadway directors Susan Stroman and Jeff Whiting as well as casting director Jeff Johnson. MDT companies have performed in NYC’s Lincoln Center, Kingsbury Hall, Capitol Theater and The Covey Center for the Arts. They have also performed with David Archuleta, Kevin Olusola (Pentatonix), Broadway composer Jason Robert Brown and Broadway stars Ben Platt, Jeremy Jordan, Laura Benanti, Ramin Karimloo, Dallyn Vail Bayles and more. In addition, they have performed at Tuacahn, NYC and LA where they workshop with Broadway, contemporary artists and producers, see Broadway shows, and engage in Q&A’s with cast members, enjoy backstage tours, and perform.
