Fall Schedule begins August 21st
Utah COPA’s Music Dance Theatre Academy offers a well rounded “triple threat” curriculum, specializing in the three major areas of music, dance, and theatre. The MDT faculty is stacked with industry professional instructors. (See faculty bios under the About Us tab on the home page). Students train in vocal technique, acting, jazz, ballet and tap preparing them for success in the industry. COPA students regularly play in lead roles for school, community and regional musicals and many students have received collegiate scholarships for the performing arts. COPA students have also gone on to perform in New York on Broadway in Mary Poppins, Les Miserables, and more. The MDT Academy offers open classes, which don’t require an audition or contract. Offerings include MDT classes, Group Voice and Acting Classes. Open class students are encouraged to take dance technique classes in addition to their MDT classes and receive a tuition discount for doing so. The Academy also offers MDT performing companies. MDT companies require an audition and offer a heightened MDT training experience. See the Company tab for more information.

Enrollment: Open. No audition required.

MDT Class Lion King Medley

MDT Classes are offered to provide a triple threat experience in music, dance and theatre.
