Group Voice

“Utah COPA is providing our children with the tools to succeed, not just by using their talents, but by giving them the confidence they need to take on life’s challenges. With regard to the arts – the mentoring that is taking place here is second to none.”
– Lawrence & JennyLynn, Parents

Group voice classes are offered with a focus in musical theatre and/or contemporary (hip-hop, jazz, rock, pop, R&B) styles, and can be catered to the needs of individual goals. Classes are structured like private voice but in a group setting. This experience is beneficial due to the peer audience as students learn from one another while building their own confidence and performance ability. This class helps students apply instruction in technique and performance weekly. Additionally, group voice can be a cost effective option for those who are not able to afford private voice lessons.

Each student will perform the song weekly in class for teacher review and feedback. Songs come from a variety of genres to expose and expand students to diverse vocal styles.  The instructor offers careful instruction and individual feedback on all exercises and solos.

Parents are invited to attend a master class held once a semester where students perform the song they have been working on. Group Voice students also perform in a Winter and Spring showcase.

Enrollment: Open. No audition required.
Ages: For ages 8 to 18
