Audition Instructions:
*Prepare a 30-45 second audition song and be ready to learn choreography. 3rd-6th graders please bring an instrumental track, 7th-12th graders, please bring cut sheet music or an instrumental track (sheet music preferred). Dress in comfortable clothes & shoes you can easily move in for choreography (first) and bring nice clothing or attire that compliments your song for the vocal audition (optional). Headshot and Resume should be submitted digitally on the registration form and you do not need to bring hard copies. Students are excused after they sing.
*7th-12th graders who are auditioning for the MDT track will also attend Dance Company auditions for level placement. Please refer to the schedule below.
*MDT/MT Company Members Participate In: winter and spring concerts, two solo showcases, vocal technique and acting classes, dance classes, workshops with industry professionals, and more!
*Utah COPA MDT/MT Company members are able to have dual enrollment in our DANCE, POP, or ACTING programs.
*Please note that participation in a Utah COPA company is a twelve month contract from July 1-June 30.
MDT/MT Tracks
We are now offering TWO tracks for our company members in Moxie, Smash, Principal, and CPC (7th-12th graders)! The MDT Track will be just like it has been in years past, although the dance hours may be slightly higher depending on what level you are placed in. If you want to choose this track, please attend the MDT audition listed below AS WELL AS Dance Company auditions on May 16th so we can place you in the appropriate dance level. The MT track will still have company rehearsal and Vocal Tech/Acting, but the dance requirement will now only be 1.5 hours (.5 of tap and 1 of musical theater styles) and students will have an extra hour of acting. MT students will have their full audition on May 15th. 3rd-6th grade curriculum will stay the same and you only need to come in for the MDT audition on May 14th.

Audition instructions:
*Students should come prepared for cold reads during the audition.
Audition will last no longer than an hour.
*Acting Company Members participate in: Shakespeare One Act play, Shakespeare competition/tour in Cedar City, UT, Masterclass performance of contemporary scenes, filming of contemporary monologues, and an improv performance.
